Authors and Publications Database (BaDAP)

16.01.2023

On January 16, 2023, the Database of Authors and Publications (BaDAP) became available. The product is the result of cooperation between the Main Library and the Center for Information Technology Solutions and is a continuation of the Bibliographic List of Staff Publications. The full functionality of the database is available for logged users (login details as for AGH mail).

The full functionality of the database is available after logging in (login credentials as for AGH mail).

In the current version, the following modules have been launched: Authors, Publications, Lists (of journals, publishers and conferences). The use of such a scheme makes it possible to quickly find the necessary information. In addition, facets have been applied in the Authors and Publications modules, giving the possibility to refine the results to, among others, the year of publication, disciplines represented by the author, types of publication, keywords, etc. The Lists module, available to logged-in users, allows, among other things, to check the scores  (in accordance with the lists of MEiN - the Ministry of Education and Science) and bibliometric indicators (including IF, SNIP, SJR) not only of the current but also of previous years.

In the Database of Authors and Publications (BaDAP), the presentation of publication data has been changed. In addition to the bibliographic description, users have access to detailed bibliometric data and information in which other reference databases, Polish and foreign, the work has been registered. Thanks to the connection with external systems, it is possible to check the number of citations in databases: Scopus, Google Scholar, CrossRef, Open Citations. PlumX metrics, indicating the presence of the publication description in social media, is also presented. For each paper, information about the statements made by the authors is provided: the assignment of the paper to the discipline and the publication percentages. In addition, BaDAP allows the author's publication description to be converted to the chosen citation style (cite option) and to preview the publication's cited references downloaded from Scopus, CrossRef and Open Citations databases.

More modules and functionalities are planned to be launched in the near future.
