Adapted workstations

In the Library Catalogues Area, a computer workstation is adapted for people with reduced mobility who use the computer catalogue (a desk with an adjustable top).

In the Main Reading Room (1st floor, p. 123) there is a computer station with a scanner and a program allowing the conversion of scanned text, a reading program, and an electronic enlarger for visually impaired readers, which enables them to enlarge the text they are reading.

The computer workstation and associated hardware and software for visually impaired people have:
- a screen reader for Microsoft Windows - NVDA (NonVisual Desktop Access)
- JAWS screen reader software
- MAGic Plus screen reader and magnification software
- OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software Abbyy Fine Reader
- scanner
- ClearNote+ portable enlarger

A Videomatic desktop enlarger is also available.
