Current principles of using services at the Main Library

The AGH Main Library has implemented new service policies, but these are subject to change due to the epidemic situation. We ask for your understanding and follow the announcements on the homepage. We are making every effort to provide you with the best possible service, despite the necessary restrictions.

Lending Room is open daily, Monday through Saturday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Reference Department Reading Room is open Mon. - Sat., from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm where one can use library materials available only in the reading rooms, such as current and archival journals, encyclopedias etc. Orders for library materials should be submitted via a form or sent to the address: ozs[at]bg.agh[dot]edu.
Standards, Patents and Cartographic Collection Reading Room (2nd floor) is open Mon. - Sat., from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm where one can use patent databsases, standards, cartographic documents, and doctoral theses. To order a printout of excerpts of the standards, please use the form. Please note that printouts of excerpts of standards are made only for teaching or research purposes for AGH employees, doctoral students, and students. Orders for other library materials should be submitted via a form or sent to the address: ozs[at]bg.agh[dot]edu.
Interlibrary Loan Service is open Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Requests for scans of fragments of library materials, e.g. articles from printed journals and fragments of other publications from the collection of the Main Library should be submitted using the form or by writing to: wypmb[at][dot]pl. A scan will be sent to the reader's e-mail address. Interlibrary loan requests can be made in the same way.

The other reading rooms, i.e. the Main Reading Room (1st floor), and the Own Book Collection Reading Room (ground floor) will remain closed until further notice due to ongoing renovations.

It is possible to contact the staff of the Circulation Department, the Reference Department, and the Special Collections Department by phone or e-mail, who are at your disposal from Monday to Saturday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Books should be ordered by logging in to your library account and choosing the place where they can be collected  BG-WYPOZYCZALNIA; ordered items will be available for collection for 10 days.
Open Stacks Zone remains closed - textbooks from the "W" book collection can be ordered after logging in to your library account, however, due to the beginning of the renovation, the orders may take longer to process.

Items from the Fiction Library can be ordered via the computer catalog, you can also place orders by phone or e-mail - 12 617 34 02, udo[at][dot]pl (collection available only for AGH employees).
Please return books through the library book drop, located in front of the entrance to the Library building. Books that do not fit through the book drop box, due to their size, should be left in a special container placed by the Library's reception desk.
During the opening hours of the Circulation Desk, it is possible to confirm the cancellation of the account (the so-called clearance slip).  In this case, please return the books directly to the Circulation desk. Similarly, if you want to pay your library fines at once.

Fees for keeping books and for library services (e.g. computer printouts) should be paid in the Cashier's Office in the Library's hall, open from Monday to Friday in the working hours of the Circulation Desk. Attention: on Saturdays payments are accepted at the Circulation desk. Payments for the returned books can also be made by bank transfer. See the details.

A library account can be created on-site at the  Circulation Desk (Mon – Sat.: 8 am – 3 pm), however, we recommend using the online forms to register with the Library. You can also renew your account remotely or update your library account details, for this please email us at: udo[at][dot]pl.

All matters related to the evaluation of the University's publications are handled by the Deputy Director - Ms. Maria Garczynska (maria.garczynska[at][dot]pl).
