Training

Training for students and librarians is run by the Main Library employees. Users can also participate in tours of the Library or visit existing exhibitions in guided groups. 
 


TRAINING FOR STUDENTS

The Main Library employees run training for students on using the Main Library collections (printed and electronic information sources) and compiling end-of-work bibliographies for different types of documents (books, book excerpts, articles, standards, patent descriptions, maps etc.). Training is offered to:

  • first-year students (so-called teaching library use) – in October
  • students in the third, fourth or fifth year of studies (Specialized sources of information). Training includes presentation of selected electronic sources, practice, tips on how to reference various types of documents. 
  • other users in organised groups (from 5 to 12 people)

We also recommend the on-line training, which includes information useful for novice library users. In order to access the on-line course one is required to register for a free account on the platform. 



 


TRAINING FOR LIBRARIANS

The Library runs specialist training for:

  • students of library science from Cracow universities*
  • employees of the AGH-UST Main Library and branch libraries
  • other libraries in Cracow

TOURS OF THE LIBRARY

There is a possibility of arranging guided tours of the Library and visiting the existing exhibitions in groups by previous appointment.
